AV Media-Server Evaluation
A touring production needed a media server that could drive five outputs, hold sync under load, and recover instantly from a yank of the wrong cable. I built the test bench to find it.

The challenge
Spec sheets lie under real show conditions. Three candidate servers, one week of stage time, zero tolerance for a black screen in front of an audience.
What I built
A repeatable test matrix — failover, frame sync, codec throughput and operator ergonomics — run identically on each rig and scored against the actual cue list.
Outcome
Picked the platform that survived every failure I could throw at it, with a documented runbook the crew could follow at 2am.
